From military service to civilian use, from WW1 to modern day, one of the most famous and iconic pistols of American history, the 1911. On this video, we learn 10 facts we didn’t know about the 1911 Pistol.

This firearm has been used since 1911, in the late 1980s it was retired by the Beretta M9 pistol, but it has stayed in service with marine special operations units and it’s one of the longest-running firearms in the US military history. The 1911 comes in many different sizes, the five-inch barrel, the commander 4.25-inch barrel and the officer frame which usually has a 3-inch barrel. It comes in many different calibers as well, the most known is the 45ACP but it is also chambered in the popular and affordable 9mm and other calibers like .38 Super, .460 Rowland, .50 GI and many others.
